The main Arcads alternatives are Creatify and MakeUGC for AI UGC ads, and HeyGen and Synthesia for avatar videos. Arcads does not list its prices on its public site, while all four of these do (checked 2026-10-20).

## What Arcads does well, and why teams look elsewhere

Arcads makes video ads with AI actors. Its home page lists 1,000+ AI actors, plus tools to translate, extend and caption a video.

Its help centre explains that plans work in credits. Starter has 8,000 credits a month and Creator has 16,000. On both, credits do not roll over, and your account is blocked when they run out. Pro and above roll credits over and bill extra use.

Say you make a one-minute video with one talking actor. The help centre lists 800 credits per minute, per actor, for its talking-actor models. Starter's 8,000 credits cover ten such videos if you spend nothing else. A two-actor video costs 1,600 credits, so Starter covers five.

Teams look elsewhere for a public price, a free plan to test on, or a plan that does not stop at a monthly cap.

## Quick comparison

## Creatify

Makes video and image ads with AI actors. The free plan gives 10 credits a month, enough for up to 2 video ads or 20 image ads, with a watermark. Standard has 55 credits a month. Good if you want to test before you pay. See [Creatify compared](/compare/creatify).

## MakeUGC

Builds UGC-style ads with AI actors, product-in-hand videos and a tool that remakes a winning ad. Starter has 500 credits and 300+ actors. Pro is $79 a month billed yearly and has 1,000+ actors. Its site lets you try any plan for $1. Good if you want many actors and an API.

## HeyGen

The free plan makes up to 3 videos a month and needs no card. Creator has 600 credits and voice cloning. Pro is $49 a month with 1,000 credits. Good for talking-avatar videos you edit yourself.

## Synthesia

The free Basic plan gives 10 minutes of video creation or dubbing, with a watermark. Pro is $89 a month billed monthly ($64 billed yearly). Credits are shared across its features. Good for presenter-style videos. See [Synthesia alternatives](/alternatives/synthesia-alternatives).

## Marxx

We make Marxx, so weigh this. Its production canvas makes image, video, voice, dubbing, avatars and UGC, and publishes campaigns, ad sets and ads to Meta. It also reads your Meta ad account for fatigue and tracks competitor ads, so the next video starts from what ran. See the [production canvas](/features/production-canvas).

## How to choose

1. Make the same 30-second ad in two tools on a free or $1 plan. Compare faces, voices and lip-sync.
2. Ask how many finished minutes a plan gives, not how many credits.
3. Check for watermarks on free plans.
4. Decide if AI actors suit your product. Some buyers trust a real creator more. Read [AI UGC vs human UGC](/compare/ai-ugc-vs-human-ugc) and use the [UGC script template](/templates/ugc-script-template).
