Google's Transparency Center lets you search an advertiser by name or website and pick a region. See [how to use it](/guides/how-to-use-google-ads-transparency-center). For one brand's Instagram ads, see [how to see competitor ads on Instagram](/guides/how-to-see-competitor-ads-on-instagram). ## The paid tools **BigSpy.** The free plan allows 10 searches a day on Facebook ads. BigSpy's homepage says it covers 80+ countries and 26 languages, and the site mentions a country filter. It does not name India. **Foreplay.** Saves ads into a swipe file, tracks brands on Meta with Spyder and writes briefs. Tracking starts on the Workflow plan ($175/month, $149 billed yearly), which tracks 10+ brands on Meta. A 7-day trial needs a card. **Atria.** An AI creative platform for Meta ads that also supports TikTok. Core follows 50 brands. You can start free with 1,000 credits and no card. **AdSpy.** One plan at an introductory $149/month on Facebook and Instagram ads. ## Test India coverage first None of the vendor pages we read gives an India ad count. So test it. Say you sell skincare in India. Pick three Indian brands you know run ads. Count their active ads in the Meta Ad Library set to India, and say Brand A shows 40. Search the same brand in a paid tool's trial. If it shows 8 of the 40, it misses most of what you need. ## A weekly routine Fifteen minutes a week is enough to start. 1. Pick five rivals and two brands you admire. 2. Open each page in the Meta Ad Library, set to India, and filter to active ads. 3. Note which ads are new and which have run the longest. 4. Save the best three in a folder with a one-line note on the hook and the offer. 5. Repeat next week and compare. ## How to choose - **Starting out:** use the two free libraries and a spreadsheet. See the [best free ad spy tools](/best/best-free-ad-spy-tools). - **Following many brands:** a paid tracker saves hours each week. - **B2B:** add LinkedIn's ad library. See [how to see a competitor's LinkedIn ads](/guides/how-to-see-competitor-ads-on-linkedin). We make Marxx. It tracks competitor ads on Meta and Google with [keyword tracking](/features/competitor-tracking) and an AI search over 100M+ ads back to 2022. We also offer a creative strategist and full performance agency service, run remotely across India. ## FAQ ### What is the best free ad spy tool for India? The Meta Ad Library. It covers Facebook and Instagram ads, and you can set the country to India. ### Can I see how much a competitor spends in India? Ad libraries do not show spend for most ads. Look at how long an ad has run instead. It is a clue, not proof. ### Do I need a paid tool? Not at first. Pay when checking competitors by hand takes more time than the tool costs. --- - [More Ad research tools articles](https://marxx.ai/library-best/category/ad-research-tools) - [All articles](https://marxx.ai/library-best)
