For ads, Adobe Firefly is the easiest to start with in India because it lists rupee prices and a commercial-use statement. Midjourney and Ideogram are subscription tools, and Google's Nano Banana and OpenAI's GPT Image models are paid for by use through their APIs.

## Quick comparison

| Tool | How you pay | Starting price | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adobe Firefly | Monthly credits | Standard INR 797.68/month incl. GST (2,000 credits) | Free daily generations. Partner models included |
| Midjourney | Monthly plan | Basic $10/month ($8 billed yearly) | Private "Stealth" mode only on Pro and Mega |
| Ideogram | Monthly credits | Free accounts get weekly credits. Plus $20/month ($15 billed yearly) | Images are public unless you pay for Plus or Pro |
| Google Nano Banana 2 | Per image, API | $0.067 per 1K image | Gemini Developer API |
| OpenAI GPT Image | Per token, API | $8 input and $30 output per 1M image tokens (gpt-image-2.5 models) | No per-image price on the page |

Prices read on each company's own site or docs on 20 Oct 2026.

## Adobe Firefly

Pro is INR 1,596.54/month for 4,000 credits and adds Photoshop on web and mobile. Adobe's FAQ says Firefly model outputs can be used commercially. For partner-model outputs from Google, OpenAI or Flux, you decide if they suit your project.

## Midjourney

Four plans: Basic $10, Standard $30, Pro $60 and Mega $120 a month. Yearly billing is 20% cheaper. Unlimited image generation in Relax mode needs Standard or above. Midjourney's docs say a business with more than $1,000,000 in yearly gross revenue needs Pro or Mega for commercial use.

## Ideogram

Plus is $20/month ($15 billed yearly) with 2,400 credits. Pro is $60 ($42 billed yearly) with 7,500 credits. Team is $30 per user ($20 billed yearly). Free accounts get weekly credits, and the amount varies. Ideogram says images are public by default, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can generate unpublished images. Its FAQ says you can use generated images for any purpose, including commercial use, and points to its Terms of Service.

## Google Nano Banana

On the Gemini API, Nano Banana 2 costs $0.067 for a 1K image, $0.101 for 2K and $0.151 for 4K. Nano Banana Pro costs $0.134 for 1K or 2K and $0.24 for 4K. Google lists no free image output for these models.

## OpenAI GPT Image

OpenAI bills image models by token. Its pricing page points to a calculator for per-image estimates, so budget with a test batch.

## What it costs to test

Say you want 200 image variants for a Meta test. At Nano Banana 2's 1K price, that is 200 x $0.067 = $13.40. At Nano Banana Pro's 1K price, it is 200 x $0.134 = $26.80. A subscription tool may cost less per image. It may cost more if you only make 20.

## Check before you publish

- **Text in the image.** Spell-check every word.
- **Product shape and logo.** Check that small details match your real product.
- **Rights.** Read each tool's terms on commercial use.
- **Variety.** Aim for different ideas, not tiny tweaks. See [creative diversity](/glossary/creative-diversity).

For the product itself, a real photo is the safest base. See the [best AI product photography tools](/best/best-ai-product-photography-tools). For video, see the [best AI ad generators](/best/best-ai-ad-generators).

We make Marxx. Its [production canvas](/features/production-canvas) generates images, video, voice, dubbing, avatars and UGC in one place and publishes to Meta, so you do not move files between tools. Static or video, see [static vs video ads](/compare/static-ads-vs-video-ads).
