## Edit by text or chat

Descript lists Underlord on its paid plans, and its filler-word tool detects English only. Captions lists a Chat to Edit tool. It also lists AI video, image and music generation. invideo says it is an agentic editor. You tell it the edit, and it works on a timeline you can open.

## Clean-up and clips

Submagic is web only. Its Pro plan lists auto zooms, AI clean audio and removal of bad takes and silences. OpusClip's Starter plan lists a virality score and reprompting of clips. InShot's AI Cut removes silences and filler words, per its App Store listing. Kapwing's Smart Cut removes silences, and its Auto Video Editor works from a prompt.

## Instagram and Adobe

Edits by Instagram lists AI animation for images and automatic captions. Premiere Pro (now called Adobe Premiere) lists Generative Extend, Enhance Speech and AI masking with Object Mask. Adobe's single-app plan lists 25 generative credits a month.

CapCut also lists AI tools. It is not officially available in India: it is not on the Indian App Store, and its pricing page shows no plans to visitors from India (checked 3 Nov 2026).

## A worked example

Say you clean the audio of 20 clips, each 1 minute long, with Captions' Audio Isolation. It costs 2 credits a minute, so 20 x 2 = 40 credits. Max includes 500 credits a month, so that uses 8% (40 / 500). Generation tools cost more: the help page lists 1 to 20 credits for a video generation.

## How to choose

1. Name the task: captions, clips, clean-up or generation.
2. Check which plan holds that AI tool.
3. Check how credits are spent, and whether they roll over.
4. Try one real clip, and compare it with a manual edit.

We make Marxx. Its [AI video editor](/features/ai-video-editor) is a multi-track editor in the browser. You can edit by hand, or describe the edit and the assistant does it. Each request is one undo step.
