## What TikTok asks for

1. Vertical 9:16 video. TikTok's help text says 540 x 960 px or larger.
2. MP4, MOV and a few other types, up to 500 MB.
3. A bitrate of 516 kbps or more for auction in-feed ads.
4. Sound or music, and captions or text so the ad works with sound off.
5. Key text inside the safe zone. TikTok publishes it only as a downloadable template.

TikTok's help pages give different lengths in different places, from 5 to 60 seconds up to 10 minutes. Check the live page for your ad type. Ad captions show up to 4 lines. TikTok suggests under 100 characters, though another page lists 150.

## CapCut

CapCut has an auto caption tool, caption templates and an auto reframe tool on desktop. After export, you can share to TikTok. Its own pages disagree on what is paid, so check in the app. CapCut is not officially available in India: it is not on the Indian App Store, and its pricing page shows no plans to visitors from India (checked 3 Nov 2026).

## Submagic and Captions

Submagic is web only. Starter caps videos at 2 minutes and lists 15 videos. Pro lists AI silence removal, auto zooms and social publishing. Captions (by Mirage) has iPhone and Android apps and lists 100+ caption styles.

## Premiere Pro and OpusClip

Premiere Pro lists TikTok under Publish in its export window. Sign in first. OpusClip's Starter plan posts to TikTok.

## A worked example

Say your TikTok ad is 30 seconds at 1080 x 1920. TikTok's minimum bitrate is 516 kbps, so 0.516 Mbps x 30 s = 15.5 megabits, about 2 MB. A real export at 8 Mbps is 240 megabits, about 30 MB. Both sit far under the 500 MB limit. Aim for quality, not a small file.

3. Export MP4 with sound.
4. Test on a phone before you upload.
