Dhanteras 2026 is on **Friday 6 November**, two days before Diwali on Sunday 8 November. It is the day many Indian families buy gold, silver, utensils and appliances for luck, so ads for those categories should peak in the week before.

## Timing plan

| When | What to run |
|---|---|
| 20 to 29 Oct | Build interest: new collections, gift guides, early offers |
| 30 Oct to 4 Nov | Main push: clear offers, delivery-by-Dhanteras promises |
| 5 Nov | Last call for delivery; promote store visits and click-and-collect |
| 6 Nov (Dhanteras) | Store footfall, same-day pickup, auspicious timing messages |
| 7 to 8 Nov | Switch to Diwali gifting |

CPMs can rise through festive weeks, because more brands compete in the same Meta ad auctions. Launch and learn early, then scale what works.

## Angles that suit Dhanteras

- **Tradition:** "Bring home something new this Dhanteras."
- **Value:** making charges off, exchange offers, EMI with no extra cost
- **Trust:** hallmarked gold, warranty, verified sellers
- **Convenience:** delivery before 6 November, pickup in store
- **Gifting:** silver coins, utensil sets, small appliances

## Ideas by category

| Category | Idea |
|---|---|
| Jewellery | "Light gold for daily wear" carousel with prices on each card |
| Kitchenware | A steel or copper set in a family kitchen, festive lighting |
| Electronics | "Upgrade this Dhanteras": old vs new, exchange value shown |
| Two-wheelers and cars | Book now, deliver on Dhanteras; show the family handover moment |
| Digital gold and finance | Small amounts: "Start with INR 100 this Dhanteras" |

## Mistakes to avoid

- Launching on 5 November, when CPMs are high and the system is still learning
- Promising delivery you cannot meet
- Gold price claims that go stale; prices move daily
- One ad for every audience; first-time buyers and loyal customers need different messages

## FAQ

### What is the Dhanteras date in 2026?

Friday 6 November 2026. Muhurat times vary by city, so check a local panchang if you mention them.

### Should I run ads on Dhanteras day itself?

Yes for store visits and quick delivery. For online orders that must arrive in time, the main push should end a few days before.
