# MagicBrief has shut down. Here is where each job it did goes now.

MagicBrief shut down on 31 July 2026. Its homepage says so, billing was cancelled and the pricing page is a 404. If you are searching for an alternative, you are not comparing two live products -- you are rebuilding four capabilities that used to sit in one subscription.

**MagicBrief shut down on 31 July 2026.** Its own homepage states the platform is no longer accessible and that billing was cancelled, and the team has joined Canva. The pricing page now returns a 404. The official path is Canva Grow. This page maps where each job it did goes now, including the parts Marxx does not cover.

**Disclosure:** written by Marxx, one of the two products compared. Everything
claimed about MagicBrief is checkable at https://magicbrief.com. Prices were read there on
20 September 2026.

## Which one you actually need

**Go to Canva Grow if:** Teams already living in Canva, where Canva Grow is the official continuation and the migration is a login rather than a decision. MagicBrief customers were offered six months of Canva Business.

**Choose Marxx if:** Teams who used MagicBrief for the intelligence rather than the design surface -- the ad library, the competitor tracking, the creative reporting and the brief -- and who would rather that loop ended in a published ad than in a handoff.

## What MagicBrief was good at

- Inspire was a very good ad library: AI search over a stated 12 million-plus ads from leading brands, with collections teams actually used.
- Insights turned connected ad account data into creative reporting across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, with prebuilt reports that media buyers and creatives could read from the same screen.
- Competitor tracking followed any brand running ads over time and produced AI summaries of what changed, which is the part most teams say they miss.
- The modular brief builder kept performance data, references and recommendations in one document, and Slack reporting pushed the summary to where the team already was.

## What Marxx does that MagicBrief did not

### The ad library: 100 million ads, searched in a sentence

MagicBrief's Inspire advertised AI search over 12 million-plus ads. Marxx searches more than 100 million by describing what you want rather than assembling filters, and returns each ad with its hook, angle and offer already torn down. Boards you spent months tagging are largely reconstructed by a query rather than migrated.

### The creative reporting: fatigue with a deadline

Insights reported on what performed. Marxx reads spend, runtime and delivery alongside the creative itself, scores hooks, angles and formats against CPA, audits the account across sixteen elements, and splits creative decay into ads already fatiguing and ads that will fatigue inside seven days.

### The competitor tracking: past Meta, and past a brand list

MagicBrief tracked brands running ads. Marxx tracks competitors on Meta, on Google and against your keywords, runs a teardown on any brand or keyword on demand without adding it to a list, and ranks the tactics moving in your sector by lifecycle stage so a rising angle is distinguishable from a saturated one.

### The brief builder: and then the ad

The modular brief was where MagicBrief ended. In Marxx the brief opens a production canvas covering research, writing, image, video, voice, avatars and UGC across roughly sixty node types, and the finished campaign, ad set and ad are created on Meta from the same graph the brief came from.

### What you lost that we do not replace

MagicBrief reported on TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn ad accounts as well as Meta. Marxx reads Meta and Google. If your creative reporting spanned four networks, that is a real gap and worth saying out loud before you switch.

## Questions

### Did MagicBrief shut down?

Yes. MagicBrief's own homepage states the platform shut down on 31 July 2026 at 8pm EST and is no longer accessible, that billing was cancelled and customers will not be charged again, and that the team has joined Canva to build Canva Grow. The pricing page now returns a 404.

### What is the official MagicBrief replacement?

Canva Grow. MagicBrief's FAQ points customers there and describes it as an end-to-end marketing workflow for creating, launching and analysing ads inside Canva, and MagicBrief customers were offered six months of Canva Business. Whether it replaces what you used depends on which part of MagicBrief you used: it is a Canva-native workflow, not a standalone creative intelligence platform.

### Is Marxx a MagicBrief alternative?

For the intelligence and briefing half, yes, and it goes further. Marxx searches over 100 million ads by natural language, tracks competitor brands continuously on Meta and Google and against keywords, reads your connected ad account for creative scoring, a sixteen-element audit and fatigue split into now and within seven days, builds personas from real ad comments and store reviews, and turns the brief into a finished ad published to Meta.

### Can I get my MagicBrief data back?

Not from MagicBrief. The platform closed on 31 July 2026 and access ended with it; the export window closed before shutdown. In practice most teams rebuild rather than migrate, and a swipe file rebuilds faster than it looks: Marxx re-tracks the brands you were watching, pulls their live creative with the hook, angle and offer already decoded, and searches over 100 million ads by natural language, so a query reconstructs most of what a tagged board held.

### What did MagicBrief cost?

Its last published pricing, archived from magicbrief.com/pricing, listed a Pro plan on ad-spend-based pricing starting at $249 per month with custom tracked brands, seats and ad account connections, and a custom-priced Creative Intelligence plan with unlimited seats, brands and connections. The page now returns a 404. Checked on 20 September 2026. Marxx is priced per workspace rather than per seat or per ad spend.

### Is there anything MagicBrief did that Marxx does not?

Yes. MagicBrief synced Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn ad accounts for creative reporting. Marxx reads Meta and Google. If TikTok or LinkedIn reporting was load-bearing for your team, Marxx does not cover it today and you should weigh that before switching.
