Runneth and Motion come from the same team, and you mostly buy them together. Motion is the creative analytics app you open in a browser; Runneth is the AI teammate that works in your Slack channels, and Motion's help says it is included in paid Motion plans.

## How they are sold together

Motion and Runneth list the same Starter price. Here is how buying works, from Motion's help and Runneth's site:

1. Runneth is included in paid Motion plans with a monthly usage allotment. Unused usage does not roll over to the next month.
2. Runneth is not part of Motion's free trial by default. You activate it through Motion's sales team.
3. Runneth's own site offers a 14-day trial with unlimited usage and no card. It starts with a setup call.
4. Self-serve signup "isn't available yet", so expect a conversation before you start.
5. Pro and Growth on both sites say "Let's chat". Runneth's tier depends on ad spend averaged over 12 months.

Motion's Starter also lists "Ask in Slack" and routines. Runneth's pricing page puts routines, such as daily and weekly reports and Slack alerts, on its Pro plan. Ask sales which applies to your plan before you sign.

## Slack or the web app

The two fit different moments in the week.

**Open Motion** when you want to sit with the numbers yourself: scroll through creative, compare ads and build a report to share.

**Ask Runneth** when the question comes up in conversation. Say your creative lead, Priya Shah, asks in the team channel which new ad to brief more of. Someone tags @Runneth in that thread, and it answers there, using what it has learned about your account and your team's judgement. Nobody has to leave Slack or rebuild a report.

Two habits from Motion's help are worth copying:

- Use one Motion organisation per client.
- Keep Runneth on internal channels, not client channels. Runneth is not available to Slack guests.

## Which to start with

- **You mainly want reports and creative reviews:** start in Motion and add Runneth later.
- **Your team lives in Slack and asks questions all day:** activate Runneth from the start.
- **You run ads for many clients across Meta and Google:** compare both with tools built around client channels.
