## Three differences that matter

### 1. Store first or ads first

Polar starts from commerce data. Its home is your store's numbers, and Operator brings ad platforms into that picture. Runneth starts from marketing. It is built for teams running Meta or TikTok ads, and store tools like Shopify feed its context.

Ask where your hardest questions live. "How do store sales line up with our Meta and Amazon Ads spend?" points to Polar. "Which hook should the next five ads use?" points to Runneth.

### 2. Confirm each action or set permissions once

Polar Operator holds any action that changes something outside Polar until a person confirms it. Runneth uses switches. It reads by default, and an owner or admin can turn on launching, then separately turn on editing or pausing live ads. Runneth's MCP page says there is no per-action approval step after that.

### 3. Channels and direct messages

Polar Operator works in mentions and in direct messages on every Slack plan. Runneth's help describes tagging it in channels it has been added to. Runneth is not available to Slack guests, and Motion's help suggests keeping it on internal channels.
