Pick Zapier if you want clear published prices and a quick set-up. Pick Make if you want a bigger free allowance: 1,000 credits a month against Zapier's 100 tasks. Both have Facebook Lead Ads triggers and a Slack app, so either can post each new lead to a channel.

## Side by side

## Difference 1: what you pay for

Zapier bills in tasks. Make bills in credits. Each lead uses some of your allowance on either tool, and extra steps, such as writing the lead to a sheet first, can use more. Check each tool's own counting before you build a long flow.

## Difference 2: the free plan

Zapier's Free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger and one action. That is enough for "new lead, post to Slack" and nothing more. Make's free plan gives 1,000 credits a month.

Say you get 250 leads a month and post each one to Slack. Zapier Free runs out after about 100 leads, so you need Professional at $19.99 a month billed yearly. Make's 1,000 free credits may cover it, depending on how many credits your flow uses per lead. Run a test lead with the [Facebook Lead Ads Testing Tool](/guides/how-to-use-the-facebook-lead-ads-testing-tool) and read the credits used.

## Difference 3: how fast you hear

Zapier publishes its check intervals: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional and every minute on Team. Its page does not say whether the Facebook trigger is instant. For Make, check the interval on make.com/en/pricing. For leads, minutes matter. See [speed to lead](/glossary/speed-to-lead).

## Who should pick which

- **First automation, low volume:** Zapier. The Facebook to Slack pairing is ready-made.
- **Many leads, tight budget:** Make, after you check its prices and credits per lead.
- **Several clients, each in its own channel:** either tool means one flow per client to build and watch. A native integration may suit you better. See the [full list of tools](/best/best-tools-to-send-facebook-leads-to-slack).

We make Marxx. It posts Meta leads to each client's own Slack channel, with buttons to mark a lead contacted. See [Marxx in Slack](/features/slack).
