# Marketing for Experience Venues in India

Creative intelligence and campaign management for parks, museums and attractions that want their bookings on their own channel.

## The commission you already pay

A venue doing Rs 1.5 Cr a year through an aggregator at 20% commission is
already spending Rs 30 lakh on distribution: 10-20% commission per ticket, a
visibility fee of around Rs 50,000 a month, 3% payment gateway and a Rs 50-80
convenience fee per ticket. The customer's contact details stay with the
aggregator, so you pay full acquisition cost again next season.

A listing is also passive. It has no spend behind it, no targeting and no
obligation to send you anyone. A venue can go a full month on an aggregator and
receive nothing, and still pay the visibility fee. A campaign goes and finds the
person. That is the difference between a listing and a channel.

## Four lead engines and one sales engine

- **Schools and institutions.** Trip coordinators and activity heads. One
booking, 40-80 visitors. Authority and deadline.
- **Corporates and teams.** HR, admin, EAs and team leads. Offsite, GST invoice,
coordinator follow-up. Exclusivity and social proof.
- **Friends and families.** Weekend planners. Small group, fast decision.
  Emotion and urgency.
- **Birthday parties.** Parents, and friends planning for someone. Date-locked,
  package-led, high margin.
- **Direct booking.** Everyone already searching for you. The ticket sells on
your own checkout, with no enquiry in between. This is the engine that takes
  revenue off the aggregator.

The direct booking build is a Razorpay or Stripe checkout on your own site, the
Meta pixel and Conversions API installed so spend optimises against real
purchases, Google Ads on your brand name and on category search, and every
buyer's contact details landing in your list. Direct booking share is the number
we report on.

## How we build the campaigns

Four research inputs. Brand research produces the story only your venue can
tell. Persona research, read out of reviews and comments, produces the moment
someone is ready to say yes and the words to say then. Competitor research reads
50+ live competitor ads across nine signals and produces the angles nobody in
your city has claimed. Industry research covers season cycles, school calendars
and pricing norms. Four inputs, one creative hypothesis, then we test.

Marxx is the software our team runs your account on. On venue accounts, we run
it for you: fatigue called before a school-season campaign stalls, competitor
creative pulled the day it runs, personas built from real comments, 50+ creative
variants a month, and lead ads arriving by webhook with the ad that produced
them attached.

We run the social side too: photographer visits, influencer visits and parties,
and the monthly grid. The shoot that fills your grid is the shoot that fills the
ad account.

## Proof

Banksy Museum, Meta, US account, 60-day window: ROAS 1.21 to 3.98, monthly
revenue $400 to $14,000, monthly leads 30 to 800, cost per lead $10. Spend was
pulled off broad awareness and doubled down on museum tickets through school and
private group campaigns.

Snow Village, 60 days: six personas run as six hooks, 350 leads, ROAS 2.1 to
5.2.

## The first 90 days

Week 1, build: direct checkout live, pixel and Conversions API installed,
WhatsApp group-booking flows ready, research done. Month 1, launch: 50+ creative
variants in test, five engines running separately, Google Ads capturing search
intent. Month 2, scale: winners doubled, retargeting pools seeded, lookalikes
built off real bookers. Month 3+, system: group booking conversion improved,
reviews generated systematically, direct booking share measurably shifted.

## Who this works for

A fit: 30%+ of bookings come through aggregators, a monthly ad budget is
allocated, the founder decides, and you can commit to a 90-day test. Not a fit:
a chain with an in-house marketing team, you want to run the campaigns yourself,
you need a result inside four weeks, or no budget is set aside yet. Retainers are
scoped to your venue and ad budget and priced on the call.

## What Marxx does not claim

We do not predict which ad will win. We test, and we report what ran, what is
decaying and what you have never tried. We do not promise a lead volume; volume
depends on spend, audience, offer, form friction and competition. The figures
above are from named accounts over stated windows, so they are evidence and not
a forecast for yours. We do not remove your aggregator. We build the channel
that makes it optional.

## Questions

### How do I reduce my BookMyShow commission?

You do not negotiate it down, you move volume off it. We put a checkout on your own site, run Meta and Google campaigns against it, and report the share of bookings that came direct. Commission is charged per ticket sold through the aggregator, so every ticket that sells on your own page is the full fare kept.

### Can I sell tickets directly from my own website?

Yes. We install a Razorpay or Stripe checkout on your existing site, so money settles into your account with no intermediary. The Meta pixel and Conversions API go in at the same time, which is what lets ad spend optimise against real purchases rather than clicks.

### How do venues get school trip bookings?

Through a campaign aimed at trip coordinators and activity heads rather than at parents, run on the school calendar. One booking is 40 to 80 visitors, the decision is made weeks ahead, and the creative has to carry authority and a deadline. It is a different audience, hook and follow-up from a weekend family campaign.

### How do I get birthday party bookings at my venue?

Two audiences, not one: parents planning for their own child, and friends planning for someone else. Both are date-locked and package-led, which makes them high margin and easy to retarget. We run them as their own engine with occasion-led creative and a booking form that captures the date first.

### How long before a new venue campaign produces bookings?

Leads usually arrive in the first two weeks. A stable, scaled account takes about 90 days, because the first month is testing 50-plus creative variants, the second is doubling down on what won, and the third is where retargeting pools and lookalikes built off real bookers start compounding.

### Do you work with venues outside Delhi NCR?

Yes. The team is Gurgaon-based and we run accounts across India and internationally, including a US museum account. The research inputs change city to city because competitor creative and season cycles are local, but the engines and the direct booking build are the same.
