Looking at public ads is not the problem. Copying another brand's creative or trademarks can break copyright and trademark law. Ask each vendor how it collects its data, and use what you find to learn, then make your own ads.

### Can an ad spy tool show a competitor's ad spend?

Tools can only estimate it, because Meta does not publish spend for most ads (checked 2026-10-20). Run length and the number of versions running are better signals of what a brand backs.
