To make ads with AI, write a one-page brief, let AI draft angles, copy, images, video and voice, then check every claim and every frame yourself and test several versions on small budgets. AI speeds up the drafts. It does not replace your judgment about what is true and what sells.

## The workflow

1. **Write the brief.** One buyer, one product, one offer, the proof you have and the claims you may not make. AI is only as specific as the brief.
2. **Get angles first.** Ask for ten angles, using words from real reviews and comments. Pick three. See [how to come up with ad angles](/guides/how-to-come-up-with-ad-angles).
3. **Draft copy and scripts.** Use prompts built for ads, such as [ChatGPT prompts for Facebook ads](/templates/chatgpt-prompts-for-facebook-ads). Inside Ads Manager, Meta's text generation can write up to five variations of your primary text and headline from your own input ([Meta](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/223409425500940), checked 2026-10-20).
4. **Make the visuals.** Generate images, video clips and a voice. Compare tools in [the best AI ad generators](/best/best-ai-ad-generators).
5. **Check like an editor.** Look at the product, logo and label text frame by frame. Confirm every claim. Make sure the music and any real person's face or voice are cleared for use.
6. **Label where required.** Meta may add its own "AI info" label, and India's ASCI has new rules for some uses. See [how to label AI-generated ads on Meta](/guides/how-to-label-ai-generated-ads-on-meta).
7. **Test small, then scale.** Run each version at a small budget, keep the winner and ask AI for new variations of it.

## What AI does well and badly

| Task | Good for AI? | Your check |
|---|---|---|
| Ten angles from reviews | Yes | Pick on buyer insight |
| Copy variations | Yes | Cut claims you cannot prove |
| Product video from a photo | Yes, often | Check the product shape and text |
| Voice-over and dubbing | Yes | Native-speaker review |
| Customer testimonials | No | Never fabricate them |

ASCI's guidelines list fabricated endorsements and testimonials as prohibited, even with an AI label (ASCI, [guidelines](https://www.ascionline.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Guidelines-for-Responsible-Labelling-of-Synthetically-Generated-Content-in-Advertising.pdf), checked 2026-10-20).

## A worked example

Say you plan 3 angles, 2 openings each and 2 formats (a 9:16 video and a 4:5 image). That is 3 x 2 x 2 = 12 ads.

You give each ad INR 500 a day for three days: 12 x 500 x 3 = INR 18,000. At the end you keep the two ads with the lowest cost per result and ask AI for six new openings on those angles. You made twelve ads in a day, but you chose the winners with money, not opinion.

## Mistakes to avoid

- Posting AI output without review
- A "customer" who does not exist
- Faces and hands that look off. See [how to avoid AI-looking ads](/guides/how-to-avoid-ai-looking-ads)
- Making 40 variants with a budget for 5
- Skipping the disclosure rules

We make Marxx. It has a production canvas that publishes to Meta. See the [production canvas](/features/production-canvas).

## FAQ

### Can I run AI-made ads on Meta?

Yes. Meta may add an "AI info" label, and ads still have to follow its advertising standards.

### Do I need to tell people an ad was made with AI?

It depends on the use. In India, ASCI's new guidelines require a label when AI content could change a buyer's decision, such as a synthetic influencer. They take effect three months after publication. Plain edits and subtitles need none.

### Is AI good enough to replace my creative team?

It makes drafts fast. You still need someone to choose the angle, check facts and edit the final cut.
