Coaching ad copy works when it names who you help, the change you help with and the next small step. It fails when it promises a result you cannot control.

The six templates below fit exam classes and personal, career or business coaching. We wrote them. They are untested starting points.

## The templates

```
1. PROBLEM, THEN HELP
[Who] struggling with [problem]? We help [who] [do the thing] through
[method]. [Next step: free session / demo class / call].
2. THE SESSION INVITE
[Day, time]: a [length]-minute [session type] on [topic].
You will learn [one specific thing]. Seats: [number]. Join here.
3. WHAT YOU GET (NO PROMISE OF RESULTS)
[Number] live sessions a week. [Format]. A [plan/notes/tests] you keep.
Taught by [name], who [real background]. Fee: INR [amount].
4. THE STORY
I was [your starting point]. What changed was [the method].
Now I teach [who] to [skill]. Here is the first step.
5. THE OBJECTION
"I do not have time." You need [time] a day. Here is how it fits.
"It costs too much." Here is what the fee covers: [list].
6. EXAM CLASS (DEMO)
[Exam / class] batch starts [date]. [Subject] with [teacher].
Demo class on [date]. Course: [name], [duration], fee INR [amount].
```

Say "free" only if it is free. Pick a next step small enough for a cold audience, such as a demo class or a short call. The [call to action examples](/templates/call-to-action-examples-for-ads) list more.

## Which rules apply to you

This is a summary of public Indian guidelines, not legal advice. Both documents are on the [CCPA guidelines page](https://ccpa.doca.gov.in/guidelines.php) (checked 2026-10-20).

**If you run exam or school coaching.** The Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisement in Coaching Sector, 2024 (notified 13 November 2024) define coaching as academic support, tuition or a study programme, and exclude counselling, sports, dance and theatre. They list these as misleading:

- false claims about the course, its duration, faculty, fee or refund policy
- false claims about the number of selections, ranks or success rates
- guaranteed selection, a guaranteed good rank or high marks, or a guaranteed admission
- false urgency or scarcity

They also require you to show a topper's rank, the course name and duration, and whether the course was paid, when you use their photo. You need the student's written consent to use a name, photo, testimonial or video, and the guidelines say the consent is taken after selection.

**If you coach on fitness, careers or business.** The 2022 misleading advertisement guidelines apply. Claims about facts must be capable of substantiation, and a paid or gifted link between an endorser and your brand should be disclosed where people would not expect it. Do not promise income, weight loss or a job that you cannot show.

## A worked example

Say you coach busy professionals in Pune on fitness, and you use template 2 for a Saturday session.

> This Saturday, 11am: a 45-minute session on how to train three days a week without a gym. You will learn a simple 30-minute plan. Seats: 40. Join here.

The ad promises a plan, not a body. It gives a date, a length and a real seat count. The next step is a free session, which is only "free" if there is no charge or hidden upsell before it. Compare it with "Lose 10 kg in 30 days, guaranteed", which you could not prove.

Now the cost. Suppose you spend INR 4,000 and get 50 sign-ups, so each costs INR 80. If 15 attend and 3 buy a INR 6,000 programme, you earn INR 18,000 from INR 4,000. Track [cost per acquisition](/glossary/cpa) from sign-up to sale, not just the sign-up.

## Where the leads go

Coaching sells on follow-up. Decide where interested people land: a form inside the ad, a page or a chat. See [lead ads vs landing pages](/compare/lead-ads-vs-landing-page) and [Click-to-WhatsApp vs lead ads](/compare/click-to-whatsapp-vs-lead-ads). Marxx captures Meta lead ads and routes them to your team, so a form fill gets a quick reply. See [leads](/features/leads).

## FAQ

### Can I use a topper's photo in my ad?

Only with their written consent, taken after selection, and with the rank, course name and duration shown, if the coaching guidelines apply to you. Even if they do not, get written consent.

### Can I promise results?

No. Describe what you teach and what the person does, not an outcome you cannot control. Use real numbers only if you can show where they come from.
