Claude handles the words around a video: hooks, cut lists and captions. It edits the picture through an editor connected over MCP.

Use the text prompts with any transcript, and the edit prompts once an editor is connected. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way an AI assistant plugs into another app.

## Prompts for a transcript

Paste your transcript first, then one prompt. We wrote these.

1. HOOKS
Here is the transcript of my ad. Write 5 openings of under 10 words for the first 3 seconds. Use words the speaker already says where you can.

2. CUT LIST
Here is the transcript with timestamps. I need a [30] second version. List the segments to keep, with start and end times, and say what each one does: hook, problem, product, proof or offer.

3. FILLERS AND REPEATS
List every filler word and repeated phrase in this transcript with its timestamp. Do not rewrite anything.

4. CAPTION CHECK
Here are my captions. Fix spelling and line breaks. Keep these names exactly as written: [list]. Maximum 2 lines of [32] characters.

5. HINGLISH
Rewrite these Hindi captions in Roman script. Keep the meaning and the tone.

6. FEEDBACK TO NOTES
Turn my feedback into a numbered list. Give each note a timestamp, the change and the reason. Mark each one must-fix or nice-to-have.

7. SHOT LIST
Turn this script into a shot list with shot, what we see, framing, line and seconds. The total is [20] seconds.

## Prompts for a connected editor

Use these when an editor is connected to Claude over MCP.

9. Remove the silences and filler words. Then tell me how many seconds you cut.

10. Add word-by-word captions. Then list any caption that looks wrong.

## A worked example

Say your raw transcript runs 90 seconds and you need a 30-second Reel. Prompt 2 could return a list like this. The timestamps are made up.

Check the sum: 4 + 8 + 12 + 6 = 30 seconds. A transcript has the words but not the pictures, so check each cut by eye before you apply it.
