A good first call to a Meta lead takes under five minutes: say who you are and which ad they tapped, ask three questions, and agree one next step. Copy the script below, fill the brackets once per campaign, and your callers will sound prepared on every lead.

## Before you dial

- **Know the ad.** Read which form, ad and offer the lead came from. People forget a form they filled an hour ago. Naming the offer brings it back.
- **Read their answers.** If they picked "Travel in December" on the form, do not ask again.
- **Call fast.** The sooner you call, the warmer the person is. See [speed to lead](/glossary/speed-to-lead).
- **Have the next step ready.** A slot to book, a brochure to send, a visit to fix.

## The script

```
OPENER
"Hi, is this [first name]? This is [your name] from [brand].
You asked about [offer] on [Instagram/Facebook] [today/yesterday].
Is now a good time for two minutes?"
IF NOT A GOOD TIME
"No problem. Shall I call at [time] or [time]?"
-> Note the time. Send a WhatsApp confirming it.
REASON FOR THE CALL
"I'm calling to understand what you need, so I can send you
the right [plan/quote/brochure]."
THREE QUESTIONS
1. "[Need question: what exactly are you looking for?]"
2. "[Timing question: when are you planning this?]"
3. "[Fit question: budget, city, or who else decides]"
ONE THING OF VALUE
"Based on that, [one specific fact that helps them decide]."
NEXT STEP
"Shall I [send the quote / book the visit / block the slot] for
[day and time]? I'll WhatsApp you the details now."
CLOSE
"Thanks, [first name]. You'll hear from me on [day].
My number is this one, save it as [your name], [brand]."
AFTER THE CALL (within 2 minutes)
- Stage: [Contacted / Qualified / Lost + reason]
- Note: answers to the three questions + next step + date
```

## Filled example: a travel lead

Say Priya Shah calls for Northwind Escapes, a fictional travel agency. The lead, Neha, filled the "Goa monsoon getaway" form at 14:11. Priya calls at 14:19.

```
OPENER
"Hi, is this Neha? This is Priya from Northwind Escapes.
You asked about our Goa monsoon getaway on Instagram a few
minutes ago. Is now a good time for two minutes?"
REASON
"I want to understand your plan so I send the right package."
THREE QUESTIONS
1. "Who's travelling, and do you want a pool villa or a hotel?"
   -> Two adults, hotel is fine.
2. "Which dates are you looking at?"
   -> A long weekend in late July.
3. "What budget feels right for the two of you?"
   -> Around INR 35,000 including flights from Pune.
ONE THING OF VALUE
"The 3-night package fits that, and the late-July long weekend
fills first, so I'd hold it this week."
NEXT STEP
"Shall I WhatsApp two hotel options with the full price by 6 pm?"
-> Yes.
CLOSE
"Great. You'll have them by 6. Save this number as Priya,
Northwind Escapes."
AFTER THE CALL
- Stage: Qualified
- Note: 2 adults, late-July long weekend, ~INR 35k incl. Pune
  flights, hotel OK. Sending 2 options on WhatsApp by 18:00.
```

The lead, prices and dates are made up.

## Tips for using it

1. **Do not read it word for word.** Learn the order, then speak normally.
2. **Change only the brackets per campaign.** Keep one script per offer so every caller sounds the same.
3. **Stop at three questions.** More feels like a form. Ask the rest on the next call.
4. **Always end with a dated next step.** "I'll call you sometime" is how leads go cold.
5. **Log right away.** A note written two hours later loses details.

Leads reach the caller faster when they arrive in a shared channel. Our [Slack lead notifications guide](/guides/how-to-get-facebook-lead-notifications-in-slack) covers the setup. For ad copy that sets up a good call, see [lead ad headline examples](/templates/lead-ad-headline-examples). We make Marxx. Its Slack lead message names the form, ad and campaign, so the caller can open with the right offer. See [Marxx in Slack](/features/slack).

## FAQ

### What if the lead says they never filled a form?

Name the ad and the offer, and say when they filled it. If they still deny it, thank them, mark the lead Lost with "did not fill form" and move on.

### How many times should I call a lead who does not answer?

Set a rule, such as three tries over two days at different times, plus one WhatsApp message. Then mark it Lost with "no answer".

### Should I call in Hindi or English?

Open in the language of the ad, then switch if the lead does. Note the language they prefer for the next caller.
