A Monday ad review in Slack is eight short questions you ask in each client's channel, in the same order every week. Together they cover last week's numbers, what is tiring, where money leaked, what competitors launched and what to change this week. Copy the list below and paste one question at a time.

## The list to copy

```
MONDAY AD REVIEW: ask in the client's channel, one at a time
1. @Marxx how did our Meta ads do last week vs the week before? Spend, leads, cost per lead.
2. @Marxx same for Google Ads: spend, conversions, cost per conversion.
3. @Marxx which three ads had the lowest cost per lead last week, with at least 10 leads?
4. @Marxx which ads show fatigue: frequency up and CTR down over 14 days?
5. @Marxx which ad sets or search terms spent with no results last week?
6. @Marxx did any tracked competitor launch new ads last week? What hooks and offers?
7. @Marxx anything in this week's sector trends we should test?
8. @Marxx based on the answers above, list three changes for this week with the numbers behind each.
```

Swap @Marxx for your own tool's bot. Ask in the thread of question 1 so every answer sits in one place.

## Who does what

| Step | Who | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Ask questions 1 to 7 | The account owner for that client | 10 minutes |
| Check one number from each answer | Same person | 5 minutes |
| Read question 8 and agree the changes | Owner plus the team lead | 10 minutes |
| Post the agreed changes in the thread | Owner | 2 minutes |

Marxx lets each person ask 6 questions every 10 minutes. So ask questions 1 to 6, then 7 and 8 after a short break, or split the list between two people.

## A filled-in example

Say Karan Mehta reviews Northwind Escapes, a made-up client, on Monday 2 November. The answers to the first two questions read:

- **Meta:** spend INR 84,200, down 6%. Leads 212 at INR 397 each, down from INR 441.
- **Google Ads:** spend INR 31,500, 48 conversions at INR 656 each.

Question 5 shows "Goa retargeting" with its cost per lead up 58% over 3 days. Question 6 shows Wanderlast Holidays launched 2 new ads. Karan's three changes for the week:

1. Cut "Goa retargeting" budget by a third and refresh its ad.
2. Move INR 500 a day to Monsoon reel 02, the lowest-cost ad at INR 311 a lead.
3. Brief one ad on the angle Wanderlast's new ads use, written in our own words.

He posts the three lines in the thread. Next Monday, question 1 shows whether they worked.

## Tips

- **Same order every week.** Answers become easy to compare.
- **One client per channel.** Marxx does not answer in channels two clients share.
- **Do not paste answers straight to the client.** Turn them into a clean update with the [weekly ad report template](/templates/weekly-ad-report-template).
- **Let alerts handle the urgent stuff.** A Monday review is for patterns. Big spikes should reach you the day they happen, see [how to set up Meta ads alerts in Slack](/guides/how-to-set-up-meta-ads-alerts-in-slack).

For competitor detail, see [how to get competitor ads in Slack](/guides/how-to-get-competitor-ads-in-slack). We make Marxx, which answers these questions in a client's channel, see [how to ask AI about your ad account in Slack](/guides/how-to-ask-ai-about-your-ad-account-in-slack).

## FAQ

### How long should a Monday review take?

About 25 to 30 minutes per client with the list above. Fewer questions for small accounts.

### Should the client be in the channel?

Keep the review in your internal channel. Marxx does not answer in channels shared with other companies.

### What if an answer looks wrong?

Check that number in Ads Manager or Google Ads before you act on it, and say so in the thread.
