These UGC script templates for fitness show a real person doing a real workout and saying only what they felt and saw. Five formats work well: a follow-along, a form fix, an honest 30-day log, a small-space setup and a busy-day routine.

Copy any template below and fill the brackets with what is true. Our general [UGC script template](/templates/ugc-script-template) has the five-beat structure. These are the fitness versions.

## 1. The follow-along

```
0-3s   HOOK    "Day 1 of [programme / kit]. Follow along."
3-20s  WORKOUT Two or three moves on camera. Count out loud.
20-27s FEEL    How it felt, honestly. What was hard.
27-30s CTA     "[Offer]. Link below."
```

## 2. The form fix

```
0-3s   HOOK    "Stop doing [move] like this."
3-12s  WRONG   Show the common mistake.
12-24s RIGHT   Show the fix. Give one cue to remember.
24-30s CTA     "[Product] helps you [one specific thing]. Link below."
```

## 3. The honest 30-day log

```
0-3s   HOOK    "I trained with [product] for 30 days. What changed and what did not."
3-10s  START   What you could do on day 1.
10-22s MIDDLE  Only what you noticed. Say one thing that was hard.
22-28s DAY 30  What you can do now, and what you did not get.
28-30s CTA     "[Offer]. Link below."
```

## 4. The small-space setup

```
0-3s   HOOK    "A full workout in [space size]."
3-20s  SETUP   Unpack. Show how much floor it needs. Do the moves.
20-30s CTA     "[Price]. Link below."
```

## 5. The busy-day routine

```
0-3s   HOOK    "[10] minutes before work."
3-22s  ROUTINE The moves, with the timer on screen.
22-30s CTA     "[Offer]. Link below."
```

## A filled-in example (small-space setup)

Say a INR 2,499 resistance-band kit. A creator with a small flat might say:

- **Hook:** "A full-body workout in a two-metre square."
- **Setup:** "The kit fits in this drawer. Here is how much floor I need. Squats, rows, presses."
- **Price check:** "It costs INR 2,499. My gym is INR 1,500 a month, so this is about 1.7 months of fees."
- **CTA:** "Link below."

The maths: INR 2,499 / INR 1,500 = about 1.7. The creator uses her own gym fee, not a made-up one.

## Rules for fitness UGC

This is a summary of public rules, not legal advice. Both checked 2026-10-20: [Meta's Health and Wellbeing policy](https://transparency.meta.com/policies/ad-standards/restricted-goods-services/health-wellness/) and the [CCPA guidelines page](https://ccpa.doca.gov.in/guidelines.php).

1. **Know which age rule applies.** Meta's page says ads for dietary, health, or weight loss or weight gain products and services must target people 18 or older. It exempts general wellbeing products and services, such as fitness equipment and health clubs. A kit or a gym is usually the second kind. A weight-loss programme is the first.
2. **Do not promise an outcome in a set time.** The same page says health and weight loss ads cannot use exaggerated claims. They also cannot promise specific outcomes within a set timeframe without disclaimers or qualifiers. The page also bars close-ups of body areas, such as pinching fat, and statements of inferiority about physical appearance.
3. **Keep it honest.** India's 2022 misleading advertisement guidelines say an endorsement must reflect the genuine, reasonably current opinion of the person giving it (clause 13). A connection to the brand must be disclosed (clause 14).

So a script should say "Here is what I did and felt in 30 days", never "Lose 5 kg in 30 days".

## Tips

- Film three hooks per script and keep the rest the same. For openers, see [hooks for D2C ads](/templates/hooks-for-d2c-ads).
- Show real effort on camera. A creator who looks tired after the set is more believable than one who does not.
- Send the script with a [UGC brief](/templates/ugc-brief-template). Read [how to brief UGC creators](/guides/how-to-brief-ugc-creators) for the full flow.
- Selling a supplement as well? Use the [UGC script templates for supplements](/templates/ugc-script-templates-for-supplements). For the format, see [UGC ads](/glossary/ugc-ads).

## FAQ

### How long should a fitness UGC video be?

Most run 20 to 30 seconds. A follow-along can run longer as an organic cut, but keep the ad version tight.

### Can a script say "lose weight"?

Be careful. Meta applies an 18+ rule and bars exaggerated claims and timed promises for weight loss ads. Describe what the creator did, not what a viewer will lose.

### Do creators need to be fit-looking?

No. Use someone who really trains with the product. Real effort and honest notes work better than a polished look.
